Position Summary

The College of Veterinary Medicine, in collaboration with the Michigan State University (MSU) Colleges of Human Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Natural Sciences, Agriculture and Natural Resources, invites applications?for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The position will be the first in a university-wide cohort of cross-disciplinary faculty in One Health, with this position focused on investigating and developing strategies to mitigate the diverse factors that drive disparities in One Health.

 

Research responsibilities:?The successful candidate?will join a vibrant research community internationally recognized for collaborative, multi-disciplinary research. With one of the world's top veterinary schools, medical schools with excellence in urban and international public health and health-care disparity research, and outstanding research in social science, epidemiology and economics, as well as fundamental biological and physical disciplines in participating colleges, MSU provides a tremendous opportunity to advance a scholarly mission that will address inequities regarding disparate impact of infectious diseases across populations. The candidate will be expected to develop an extramurally funded and collaborative research program with researchers across MSU colleges.

 

Teaching Responsibilities:?The successful candidate?will?have opportunities to work with and train undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and to?participate in teaching courses at all levels.

 

Service Responsibilities:?The successful candidate will contribute to?the?department, college, university,?and profession with demonstrable service activities.

 

Academic Home: May be in one of several departments in the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine, including the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, Large Animal Clinical Sciences, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Pathobiology and Diagnostic Investigation, Pharmacology and Toxicology, or Small Animal Clinical Sciences.
