What You Will Do:

CORE, Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (formerly ACE), is the RTX operating system. It focuses on the drivers of competitive excellence — our people and our work processes. Our leadership and empowered employees work together to implement CORE practices in each of our activities across every RTX business to benefit our customers and share owners. As a member of the Hot Section Module Center team, you will be a key member of a dynamic team responsible for delivering aerospace components and assemblies to our military and commercial customers around the globe. The Module Center delivers hardware for both new engine assembly and aftermarket new spare parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with departmental and functional leadership to drive transformative, self-sustaining CORE – Operational Excellence capabilities within the factory.

  • Identify, prioritize, and implement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction while reducing cost and complexity of manufacturing processes.

  • Implement and sustain the CORE Operating System through the deployment of the CORE Framework. Work with domain leadership to create and deploy improvement objectives that align with the mod center’s Goal Alignment.

  • Serve as key resource for OpX initiative deployment, including CORE competency development and Standard Production System (SPS).

  • Work closely with individuals and teams within the business unit(s) to manage critical action lists and their execution, including:

  • Update Tier 2 and 3 control towers for accuracy and completion

  • Maintain CORE and SPS training records and development progress, including training event support and metric generation.

  • Manage Apriso functionality, including user changes, escalation updates, and asset inventories.

  • Support business unit customer values initiatives, including actions from Glint surveys, compliance audits, and EH&S engagements.

  • Promote OpX values by leading visual factory enhancements to improve goal alignment, corporate image, and employee morale.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Operations, Supply Chain or similar field, or minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Minimal, infrequent travel may be required as needed.

  • Ability to support off-shift activities as needed.

  • US Citizenship due to government contracts.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Advance degree in a related field and minimum 2 years’ experience.

  • Aerospace industry.

  • UTC (United Technology Corporation) CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) Apprentice Certification or 3 or more years of working experience in lean, continuous improvement, or operations.

  • Ability to work independently, while delivering on executive leadership expectations.

  • 5+ years of experience supporting large scale continuous improvement initiatives across functions.

  • Proven project management experience or certification.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
