Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Analytical Scientist in East Greenbush, New York

Regeneron is currently looking for an Analytical Scientist with a focus on our Bioconjugate modalities with a 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm schedule. This role is part of our Quality Control (QC) Analytical Sciences Chemistry Development team. Our Analytical Scientists support the Manufacturing, Process Sciences (PS) and QC departments through the development, optimization, troubleshooting, qualification, transfer and application of analytical test procedures, including but not limited to wet chemistry assays, liquid and gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.

As an Analytical Scientist a typical day might include the following:

  • Establish, develop, optimize and/or troubleshoot state-of-the-art and fit-for-purpose analytical methodology to test and characterize RNA, proteins and antibody-drug conjugate molecules (ADC).

  • Implementing creative scientific strategies to address therapeutic RNA and ADC challenges through conducting laboratory experiments, working closely with other researchers to influence team direction and advance programs, communicating progress and strategy in various forums, and preparing technical documents.

  • Serve as a scientific resource and use in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation and technology to manage the analytical technology lifecycle in QC.

  • Provide analytical support in troubleshooting process and formulation investigations.

  • Supervise, trains and educates junior level group members and act as a mentor within the laboratory, including distributing work-load and monitoring progress.

  • Liaise multiple departments internally and externally in support of Process Science Development and Global Manufacturing demands, including presenting findings.

Education and Experience:

  • PhD in analytical chemistry or organic chemistry.

  • Prior experience in analytical testing and analytical method development is strongly preferred.

  • Level will be determined based on related experience.
