Job description

*Field Service Technician *

*Description: Will train the right person. *

Repair and install high speed 5-Axis CNC machining centers at customer facilities.

Job Purpose:

Provide the highest levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining state of the art CNC machine tools at customer sites.

Duties:

*Must have some mechanical background and be able to learn how to solve complex mechanical problems.

*Must have an understanding of electronics and electricity.

*Must be able to make precise mechanical adjustments using precision measuring equipment and measuring tools.

*CNC machine tool experience is preferred.

* Knowledge of CNC controls and PLC controls is preferred. Knowledge of Siemens CNC controls is a plus. Knowledge of laser calibration equipment is a plus.

*Troubleshooting and problem solving abilities are a must.

*Will be required to troubleshoot, repair, and install state of the art machine tools. This includes the mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.

*Will be based in Michigan. Travel is required. Approximately 50% out of area travel. May be required to spend several weeks at a time out of town. Must be able to enter Canada.

* Candidate must be a self starter and must be able to work without supervision.

* Must document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and records.
