Cleveland-Cliffs is currently recruiting upcoming college graduates for entry-level Associate Electrical Engineer positions at our Indiana Harbor facility in East Chicago, IN.

Summary of Responsibilities :

  • Recommend and/or perform predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance of equipment

  • Research, design, evaluate, install, modernize, re-design, operate, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment

  • Resolve equipment malfunctions, including those requiring scheduled shutdowns or breakdown action

  • Plan, schedule, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports

  • Analyze current operating performance and standard operating procedures and making recommendations for improvement and various other duties as needed to support the business

  • Potentially supervise a crew of hourly maintenance employees

  • Rotating shift work may be required according to business needs

  • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or other related technical degrees

    Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous experience or internship/co-op in manufacturing
