Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN is hiring a Managed File Transfer and Batch Job Scheduling Engineer in Eagan, MN.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure transfer of data files between various systems and the successful execution of batch jobs within our organization. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of technical experience andexperience with Managed File Transfers and Batch Job Scheduling. This individual will have proven experience using Stonebranch and MoveIt, as well as strong collaboration and communication skills. A Day in the Life: Manage File Transfer Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain a robust and scalable file transfer infrastructure, including protocols, encryption methods, and security controls. Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of data files to the intended recipients. Batch Job Scheduling: Develop and maintain a comprehensive batch job scheduling system, ensuring the timely execution of scheduled jobs and monitoring for successful completion. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during batch job execution. Integration and Automation: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate file transfer and batch job scheduling processes with existing systems and applications. Identify opportunities for automation and develop scripts or workflows to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations during file transfers. Implement and enforce best practices to safeguard sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and stakeholders for file transfer and batch job scheduling-related issues. Investigate and resolve any problems, system errors, or performance bottlenecks that may arise. Documentation and Reporting: Maintainaccurate documentation of file transfer processes, batch job schedules, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate reports on system performance, job completion rates, and any issues or incidents encountered. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to managed file transfer and batch job scheduling. Proactively identify areas for improvement and propose enhancements to optimize processes and maximize efficiency. Required Skills & Experiences: 3+ years of related technical professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered. Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or higher; if you do not have, must be willing to obtain within 1 year of starting. Amazon AWS Cloud Practitioner or higher; if you do not have, must be willing to obtain within 1 year of starting. Proven experience in managed file transfer protocols and technologies such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, AS2, and secure file transfer methodologies Strong understanding of batch job scheduling concepts, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Stonebranch, CA7, Cron) Solid knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation and workflow development Familiarity with encryption algorithms, data security, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR) Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to file transfers and batch job execution Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve complex system issues Ability to ork independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field Make A Difference Blue Cross is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer that values diversity.
