IQVIA Strategic Solutions eSource Lead in Durham, North Carolina

This role is the eSource strategic lead for IQVIA’s Clinical eSource Platform, known as ClinSpark. The role partners with Business Development through the sales cycle to engage potential customers and define the scope of their eSource implementation project in order to accurately contract work. They work in close collaboration with other stakeholders including but not limited to eSource Clients, Business Development team, Delivery team, IT & Engineering teams, within the CD business, Therapeutic area leads, Early Phase Center of Excellence and other teams within IQVIA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible to engage with potential eSource clients either through Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), or general inquiries to assist the client in assessing ClinSpark and its fit for their clinical operations.

  • Responsible to provide or coordinate system overview and client demos to potential clients.

  • Works with Business Development to create proposals for system implementation and licensing and present to customer.

  • Drives eSource sales and marketing strategy including managing a regular SWOT analysis. Makes recommendations for further system developments through business case development.

  • Responsible to provide consultation on customer requirements and help advise on fit-gap analysis and interoperability with other clinical systems in place at the clinical site.

  • Assists in customer handover from sales engagement to implementation and project management team upon award.

  • Ensures project requirements are clearly outlined to the implementation team to allow consistent and outstanding quality against project deliverables.

  • Manages customer relationships, attending client meetings to clarify and manage client expectations regarding implementation and present the operational aspects of project delivery

  • Responsible for gaining approval and gathering input from internal stakeholders for developing pricing for customer-specific system requests.

  • Responsible to understand project milestones with the Implementation Team, Engineering Project Management, and other internal stakeholders to manage and review offering including proposal text, budget line items and rate cards.

  • Gathers customer requirements and provides business cases for feature development to ClinSpark governance committee, product owner and engineering team based on early engagement conversations.

  • Coordinates the evaluation of complimentary technology in the market which is in line with the strategic focus of the platform such as medical devices, laboratory, cardiac review and patient outreach platforms.

  • Evaluate and lead new sales and market segment opportunities for ClinSpark.

  • Contribute to the creation of internal SOPs, templates, and client facing materials as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on ClinSpark software

  • Responsible to provide subject matter expertise on platform strategy keeping in mind the operational aspect of eSource and complimentary technologies commonly used as well as maintain awareness of industry benchmarks and new technologies in eSource and early phase domain

  • As a subject matter expect, will help lead resolution of project issues and identify process improvement opportunities

  • Provide thought leadership on eSource through publishing of white papers and conducting webinars.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of ICH GCP, CFR Part 11 and other regulatory guidance and its impact on the operations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good technical skills related to systems and devices

  • Good team leadership skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Should understand technology and having good business Acumen, Leadership, project management skills with at least 10-15(extensive) years of relevant experience within Early Clinical Development research managing people, operations or technology; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • Extensive experience with implementing, configurating or managing eSource software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.

  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.

  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time.

  • May require occasional travel

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $131,600.00 - $244,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
