BioFire Diagnostics, LLC. Sr Director, Manufacturing Controlling, Americas in Durham, North Carolina

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. VP Global Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality and functionally to the Sr VP Manufacturing Americas, you are the finance business partner of manufacturing across the plants in the Americas, with the exception of our plant in Salt Lake City. You manage a team of local controllers who support the manufacturing operations of our 5 plants - Durham, St Louis, Lombard, San Jose, & Philadelphia.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Organize and consolidate performance monitoring of Manufacturing sites. Objective is to help link business initiative and events with the financial performance and help identify improvement opportunities

  • Support the business cases for Manufacturing organization, notably major investments and projects such as new plants, new manufacturing capacities, automation and efficiency

  • Lead the budget process and activity contribute to the strategic plan for Manufacturing

  • Supervise closing activities in the scope in collaboration with local CFOs and corporate finance to ensure accurate information.

  • Produce the required reporting to support business decision

  • In coordination with global finance, define and ensure implementation of product costing, inventory counting procedures and homogeneity between sites

  • Provide leadership for continuous improvement in Manufacturing controlling

  • Ensure internal control are implemented in the scope and follow up action plans when required

  • Develop team members, and propose a lean and efficient organization

    Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years’ controlling experience

  • Experience in manufacturing controlling is highly preferred

  • SAP experience is a plus but not required

  • Strong product costing knowledge as well as CAPEX management experience

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment

  • Strong communication and managerial skills
