Controlled Contamination Services LLC Operations Manager II in Durham, North Carolina

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Operations Manager II role oversees the day-to-day cleaning operations and quality programs of specific customer accounts, areas or multi-location sites. The role is responsible for managing, defining, coordinating and facilitating projects, leading teams and ensuring the success of the assigned account portfolio and regional operations.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Supervise, plan and coordinate customer/regional cleaning operations.

  • Continually monitor cleaning operations to ensure all activities are completed promptly and correctly.

  • Responsible for staff development in areas such as training, technical skills, safety, and performance management.

  • Assist in recruiting/hiring/onboarding of new team members.

  • Complete annual performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities.

  • Monitor and maintain budgeted labor hours at assigned sites/accounts.

  • Maintain project calendar, develop agendas, record minutes and action items and facilitate meetings.

  • Manage cross-functional team resources appropriately to ensure effective team performance and achieve goals.

  • Plan, organize and lead projects to improve efficiency and productivity and identify/implement best practices.

  • Identify and resolve technical, procedural and equipment issues that hinder cleaning performance.

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices where applicable.

  • Manage inventory levels at customer sites.

  • Represent the company at customer meetings and perform quarterly business reviews with key clients.

  • Ensures accurate time/attendance recording and labor law compliance.

  • All other duties as defined by your supervisor

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-7 years (5 – 10 years in lieu of bachelor’s degree) of experience in facilities, production, manufacturing, janitorial, cleaning, hospitality or related field

  • 3+ years prior experience managing supervisory level staff and an hourly labor force

  • 3+ years direct business operations experience

  • P&L & Financial reporting experience

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrates excellent documentation skills, and adhere to all regulations

  • Demonstrates excellent problem solving/issue resolution skills

  • Ability to stay calm and rational under pressure

  • Adheres to all policy and conduct standards and embraces the culture of CCS

  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities:

  • Operate a motor vehicle

  • Use hands to finger, handle or feel - Reach with hands or arms
