Adecco US, Inc. Maintenance Technician in Durham, North Carolina

Hiring in Durham for a Maintenance Technician for an immediate start. This is a Direct Hire (not temp). The position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and prompting repairs of facilities and mechanical or electrical equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide preventive maintenance and prompt repairs on conveyor system, forklifts, HVAC, and any other equipment needed for the warehouse operations to run smoothly

• Oversee outside contractual labor

• Obtain bids for any equipment or special projects

SPECIFIC WORK TASK:

• Monthly maintenance tasks, including oil conveyor

• Quarterly maintenance tasks such as changing AC filters, servicing forklifts, and removing covers and greasing bearings

• Equipment repair and preventive maintenance

• Test sprinkler system

• Oversee outside contractor work

• Repair plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems

• Maintenance and testing of sprinkler systems, fire pump, backflow valve, and alarm systems

• Obtain bids for contract work, materials, or equipment for special projects • Assist in other job functions as needed

• Maintain cleanliness of shop and other work areas

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

• Trade certification highly preferred

• 5+ years of relative experience required. Experience in a warehouse setting and/or conveyor systems preferred

• Mechanically inclined

• Ability to read specs

• Basic computer skills

• Forklift certified

• Ability to operate machinery and equipment

• Knowledge of systems (alarm, sprinkler, conveyor)

• Knowledge of tools required for mechanical repairs

• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines

ADA MEASURES:

• Standing 40% of time, walking 50% of time, sitting 10% of time • Lifting/carrying over 100 lbs. • Pushing/pulling over 150 lbs. • Climbing stairs, stools, ladders • Kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling • Reaching • Handling tools and equipment • Ability to speak and comprehend English • Hearing • Seeing • Depth perception

MAY PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS NEEDED.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $22.00-$27.00 p/h based on experience

Schedule : • Day shift, evenings as needed • Monday to Friday
