Overview
Summary:
IandC Engineer responsible for the development of SCADA and IandC designs for solar PV and battery storage projects, with as-required management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create IandC block and interconnection diagrams; provide input for other deliverables as required.
- Specify components to meet project requirements.
- Review and prepare bill of materials for IandC system equipment.
- Under guidance and in collaboration with electrical engineering, develop, document, and execute control solutions to comply with contractual and/or utility requirements.
- Perform technical review of IandC and SCADA design documentation, developed by third parties and in-house.
- Support the commissioning of utility scale IandC systems, and interface with Strata field personnel to ensure project requirements are satisfied expeditiously.
- Develop data collection solutions for reporting equipment and interface (including protocol) solutions for reporting equipment.
- Provide technical / commercial input for bid proposals.
- On occasion, develop programming and configuration solutions and draft control narratives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- On occasion, supervise work of IandC group engineers. Support Director IandC Engineering in management, hiring, and other supervisory duties.
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, from an ABET accredited university.
- Minimum 8 years relevant work experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD (desired), and MS Office.
- Experience with design of PV projects (desired).
- Comfortable presenting to and interacting with clients, consultants, vendors, authorities with jurisdiction, and regulatory agencies.
