Here’s the Gist:
This role will work within Wolfspeed’s Supply Chain Procurement team and will be responsible for the planning and buying of Wolfspeed’s Raw materials and spare parts. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, supplier relationships, issuing purchase orders, price negotiations, planning, communicating with stakeholders, and managing supplier issues through to successful completion.
The Day-to-Day:
- Maintain responsibility for monitoring/creating purchase requisitions, on a daily basis, for appropriate vendors through ERP - MRP system, and converting requisitions to purchase orders
- Ensure compliance with the companies Purchasing Policies and Procedures, Code of Ethics, Values and adherence to relevant laws and regulations
- Interface with production, and suppliers in order to schedule purchase orders of raw material to meet production demand.
- Purchase goods from suppliers in accordance to MRP requirements
- Confirm supplier delivery dates for purchasing material and expedite orders when necessary
- Reconcile variances between purchase orders, invoices, shipments and packing slips.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- 3 + years of planning, buyer or sourcing role
- SAP experience
- Advance knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience working in a self-directed environment
- Energetic individual who can service a dynamic and exciting manufacturing and product line
- Excellent analytical skills
Highly preferred skills and certifications:
- 5 years of experience in a buyer/planner role, ideally in the semiconductor industry
- Capable of working cross functionally in a dynamic setting
- Certification as a supply chain professional
- Working knowledge of Oracle or SAP
- Experience working with many different stakeholders
