Kennard Associates Broadband Installer / FTTH in Durham, North Carolina

Job Title: Broadband Installer

Pay: $65,000 - $80,000 annually ($31.25 - $38.46 hourly) - component / piece pay. 

Benefits: Health insurance, PTO, 401k, etc.

Location: Hillsborough / Durham, NC

Must Haves:

  • 1 yr of experience installing fiber to the home (FTTH)

  • Provide your own vehicle capable of having a ladder rack attached to it for carrying a 32' ladder

  • All required work authorization for employment in the United States. No visa sponsorship provided.

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Broadband Installer to join our team. As a Broadband Installer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining high-speed internet and other communication services for residential and commercial customers.

    Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure broadband equipment and related devices in customers' homes and businesses.

  • Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise with broadband services.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support by answering questions and resolving concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while working at heights and in tight spaces.

  • Follow company procedures and guidelines for proper equipment handling and maintenance.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.

  • Stay up-to-date with new technology, trends, and industry developments related to broadband installation and services.

    Requirements:

  • Previous experience in broadband installation, telecommunications, or related field preferred.

  • Knowledge of networking and computer hardware/software.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
