IQVIA Associate Director, Business Unit Finance - Hybrid in Durham, North Carolina

We are seeking an Associate Director, Business Unit Finance to join in our Durham, NC location in a hybrid position.

As an Associate Director, Business Unit Finance, you will play a critical role in financial planning and accounting practices, including budgeting, costing, financial analysis, and long-range forecasting for Clinical Operations global business.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Ensuring that the recording, measurement, and reporting of all financial transactions adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), internal IQVIA corporate policies and procedures, government regulations, and local business requirements.

  • Developing specific business metrics that support timely and actionable information flow for daily operational and long-term strategic planning purposes.

  • Directing all aspects of planning and estimation processes related to annual budgeting and strategic plans as well as monthly forecasts.

  • Contributing to developing pricing strategies, policies, and analysis.

  • Providing monthly financial reporting including consolidation of Clinical Operations forecasts and metrics.

  • Serving as a key focal point between the business leader and R&DS Finance Leadership for central Clinical Operations cost centers.

  • Ensuring achievement of business financial targets by monitoring spending, providing insight, and early warning.

  • Identifying and monitoring areas of risk and/or opportunity and their financial impact on the business.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Graduate degree or equivalent preferred - in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Management.

  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis, accounting, and finance.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.

  • Knowledge of financial systems.

  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities needed for this role:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong leadership and focus.

  • Proven record of delivering results working with senior management.

  • Ability to translate business issues into financial requirements.

  • Technical proficiency with financial application software is essential.

  • High level of integrity and self-confidence.

  • Experience with Hyperion, PeopleSoft, or similar systems preferred.

  • Experience with Power BI a plus

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $100,500.00 - $186,600.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
