Position Overview

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Department of Counseling and Higher Education contains the Counselor Education Programs and the Higher Education Administration Program. The Counselor Education Programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

Primary Purpose of Position

Instruct graduate students in a counselor education program, supervise counseling students in their field placements, conduct research and scholarly activity related to their discipline, and provide service to the University, the School of Education, and the Department of Counseling and Higher Education.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Preference will be given to candidates with successful university teaching experience, advisement, and internship supervision. Candidates must demonstrate evidence (or potential) in scholarship, and service/outreach.

Minimum Education/Experience

Earned PHD in Counselor Education or related field from a CACREP-accredited counselor education and supervision program.
