Analytics Analyst, IBM Corporation, Sandy Springs, GA (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted): Work closely with scientists, database administrators, and data architects to make the transformed analytical data available for them to achieve the analytical tasks as per business requirements. Work on the structured, semi-structured and un-structured data to enable the organization to analyze the data volume, variety, velocity and veracity for both batch and real-time data. Leverage knowledge in SQL (Structured Query Language) to develop performance tuned queries to access the tables/views located in the data warehouse. Use the cloud environment related concepts of object-oriented programming (Java and Python), SQL, Database and Data Warehouse to develop solutions for a faster data scan from the multiple data sources. Conduct data analysis and automate tasks by using multiple data source systems via the performance tuned SQL queries embedded under a single window of code. Perform the activities linked to excel programming for categorizing the data and to create analytical utilities. Utilize: IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM Cognos Framework Manager, Structured Query language (SQL), Query Management Facility (QMF), DB2, IBM Infosphere DataStage, Field Management System (FMS). Required: Masters degree or equivalent in Technology, Science or Communications or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Masters degree) and one (1) year of experience as a GSI Analytics Analyst, Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM Cognos Framework Manager, Structured Query language (SQL), Query Management Facility (QMF), DB2, IBM Infosphere DataStage, Field Management System (FMS).
