Minichi, Inc. Estimator/Project Manager in Dupont, Pennsylvania

Minichi, Inc. is a Heavy Highway Construction and Drilling Company based in Northeastern Pennsylvania. We have been in business for over twenty-five years.  Minichi, Inc. is currently hiring an Estimator/Project Manager.

 

  • Minimum of 5 years working in a heavy site, highway, bridge construction industry.
  • Ability to manage field operations daily.
  • Familiar with PennDOT and/or NJDOT requirements.
  • Ability to perform in a team-based environment.
  • Proficient in the use of estimating software.
  • Experience reading blueprints.
  • Work independently.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review contracts and manage contract administration.
  • Communicate with potential clients, subcontractors and engineers to determine the scope of work.
  • Document, organize, understand and interpret information and paperwork including plans, specifications, geo-technical reports, environmental reports and other data.
  • Determine crew and equipment requirements based on work variety.
  • Work as a team with the field personnel.
  • Complete accurate estimates of required labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors needed to complete project.
  • Prepare proposals.
  • Monitors awarded contracts. Estimates extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring material, etc.
  • Maintains communications with clients and field contacts to facilitate construction activities.
  • Monitors/controls construction through administrative direction to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigates potentially serious situation and implement corrective measure.
  • Manages financial aspects of contracts
  • Competitive compensation package.
