Maid-Rite Specialty Foods LLC Ammonia Refrigeration Technician in Dunmore, Pennsylvania

The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible to clean, adjust, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems. The Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical failures, perform equipment maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs. The Refrigeration Technician may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and repair systems and equipment.
  • Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and preform warranty services.
  • Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training.
  • Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Comply with service standards and work instructions.
  • Order equipment supplies, repair modules for orders.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
  • Observe and test newly installed systems.
  • Troubleshoot refrigeration equipment failures.
  • Maintain stock levels.
  • Replace worn seals, outer shells, and worn-out motors.
  • Inform clients of repair costs and alternate cooling options.

Credentials and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience as Refrigeration Technician.
  • Knowledge of local building codes.
  • Working knowledge of freezer systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
