PATRIOT Quality Control Manager in Dunkirk, Maryland

PATRIOT delivers full-service facilities and infrastructure solutions providing complete end-to-end life-cycle services including planning, architecture, design engineering, construction, and operations and maintenance. The company is headquartered in Dunkirk, MD and is supported by its three regional offices to execute innovative facilities and infrastructure solutions throughout the world.

PATRIOT is looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience as a Quality Control Manager on Government and Commercial projects with effective relationship building.

Requirements:

  • Construction: 5 years (Preferred)

  • Strong organization and computer skills.

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Current, or able to obtain, USACE/NAVFAC QCM Certification Required

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Key Accountabilities:

  • The employee shall perform on-site CQM services at various contract locations.

  • Support will include but is not limited to: evaluate schedules, work performance quality, safety oversight, coordination effectiveness, and perform documentation reviews for all repair and construction work in progress or in planning stages at facilities

  • Ensures conformance with NFPA codes, JCAHO standards, safety standards, and other agency criteria as required.

  • Coordinates with facility Quality Control officers to implement effective Quality Control policies.

  • Reports compliance issues to the Project Manager for action.

  • Monitors construction sub-contractor quality control activities and makes appropriate recommendations to the Project Manager for action.

  • Meet with on-site contractors performing construction and adhere to the requirements of all Quality Assurance Engineering Regulations.

  • Is present at utility outages to provide engineering and contractor support.

  • Attends and participates in pre-construction, staff, in-progress-reviews, and other project-related meetings, and provides reports to Project Manager

  • Ability to Read and write in English

  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand Construction and Engineering plans, specifications, and other documentation.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to pass Federal background check for access to government and Department of Defense bases and facilities

Physical Job Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position seated half the time.

  • The person in this position may need to move about the office and walk outside to project locations.

  • The person in this position must be able to maneuver (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) less than 40 lbs.

  • This position requires the ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors and typing on computers.

  • Ability to move through large and small indoor/outdoor construction sites that may include stairs
