Manager, Internal Controls - North America

A global and multi billion dollar Robert Half client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Internal Controls to oversee and enhance internal control processes and systems across North America. This pivotal role involves a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes across all product lines and levels, ensuring operational excellence, financial integrity, and compliance across the region. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end business processes across all product lines, identifying and mitigating operational, financial, and compliance risks, while ensuring the effectiveness of control documentation and processes in collaboration with stakeholders

  • Develop, implement, and monitor practical and cost-effective risk remediation plans, promoting standardized and consistent control processes across all North American units.

  • Manage Segregation of Duties (SoD) by identifying, monitoring, and mitigating control conflicts, ensuring integrity and compliance.

  • Lead the creation and execution of the annual Risk Assessment and Internal Control Plan, regularly reporting progress and insights to stakeholders and management.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance and efficiency in audits and control testing, and proficiently manage critical internal control applications like SAP ECC and GRC.

    Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.

  • Professional designation would be a nice to have (CPA/CA, CIA, CMA, CGA, CFE).

  • 7+ years in a manufacturing and/or public accounting environment

  • 3+ years in public accounting assurance, Sarbanes-Oxley, Internal Control, Internal Audit, or External Audit.

  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and Google applications, with advanced skills in Excel/Sheets.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.

  • Effective planning and organizational skills, capable of balancing multiple tasks.

  • Independence in working and initiative in maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, and resolve issues.

  • A high standard of ethics and integrity.
