JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE : Financial Analyst

REPORTS TO : Assistant Controller / Controller

BASIC FUNCTION : To perform daily processing of all accounts receivable activity, maintain contact with customers, and resolve issues as they arise. To record and reconcile accounts receivable activity in the general ledger and to maintain current and accurate pricing in the system. To maintain current and accurate standard product costs in the system and record and reconcile inventory activity in the general ledger. To cross train and backup for payroll activity and Record Retention.

SPECIFIC DUTIES : Account Receivable

  • Daily processing of Accounts Receivable including invoice generation, cash application, and customer issue resolution.

  • Maintain selling prices in system.

  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries.

  • Prepare reconciliation of General Ledger balance to Accounts Receivable detail.

  • Confirm inter-company balances with customers at month end.

Inventory

  • Analyze and maintain current and frozen product costs.

  • Assist with product line profitability analysis.

  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of General Ledger balance to Inventory detail.

  • Special projects as assigned

Backup to Payroll

  • Obtain payroll detail from Human Resources weekly, post detail to journal entry form, and post monthly payroll journal entries.

  • Perform monthly reconciliation of payroll cash account.

REQUIREMENTS/

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience; excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail; proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, and familiarity with accounting computer systems (SAP). Must be able to work in a team environment. Strong knowledge of cost accounting is preferred.

Pay Details: $33.65 to $36.05 per hour
