Job Description

Are you an experienced Senior Security Specialist with experience supporting DoD requirements? We have a great opportunity for you located in Quantico, VA!

Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is a must

As Senior Security Specialist you will:

  • Administer and coordinate DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.

  • Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions, such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, and physical security to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Receive a robust benefits package that includes Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

A week in the life of a Senior Security Specialist:

  • Provides administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material.

  • Supports the SAP information security program.

  • Ensures appropriate documentation is maintained for the accreditation and use of Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).

  • Coordinates annual and semi-annual preventive maintenance inspections and testing for SAPFs/SCIFs.

  • Generates and tracks Program Access Requests (PARs) utilizing the Joint Access Database Environment (JADE).

  • Administers and maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguarding of company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property.

  • Develops and conducts security briefings and security education programs.

  • Provides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as proprietary information.

  • Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications. Investigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma

  • 10+ years of relevant DoD/IC security related experience.

  • Special access program experience a plus

  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Senior knowledge of DoD, DOE, or other industrial security programs.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $110,000 – 125,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
