Moore County Hospital District Medical Lab Technician or Technologist - FT 6pm - 6am in Dumas, Texas

This is a Full Time Position. WHAT YOU'LL DO:   * Perform blood and body fluid analysis for physician evaluation of patient condition, care, and treatment plan. * Participate in quality control plan for the Clinical Laboratory including instrumentation and personnel proficiency. * Will act as phlebotomist when needed. * May also be asked to cover any shift. Communicates with the Laboratory Medical Director (Pathologist), Manager, Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Phlebotomists, Nursing, Physicians, and Personnel all quality control outcomes pertinent to regulatory agents, patient specimen analysis, and quality of patient care. * Review and documents all quality control data pertinent to Clinical Laboratory practices as outlined by Policy and Procedure. * Will perform administrative Laboratory duties as assigned. Educational/Experience Requirements: BS or Associates Degree in applied Science with equivalent training (3-5 years minimum) preferred. Experience Requirements: 3-5 years Generalist and/or Lead Technologist or Technician experience in a hospital setting preferred. Licensure/Certification Requirements:  Current ASCP, AMT, or HEW certification required. Other Requirements: Knowledge of Laboratory regulatory agency standards including accreditation and CLIA.
