ALLETE Threat Assessment Coordinator 5239 in Duluth, Minnesota

RESPONSIBILITIES: -Serve as the Company's subject matter expert on physical security related threat information and sources. - Assist with establishing baseline information requirements, reviews, and evaluates all-source and open source intelligence material, authors' reports and advisories, and shares relevant potential threats related to ALLETE employees and assets. - Maintain and conduct information collection and sharing efforts with external partners and informational portals. - Lead, track, and ensure completion of ALLETE-wide security related assessments, such as threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments. -Lead and conduct initial inquires of reported cases of security breaches, theft, vandalism, and potential threats; and forward incidents requiring further investigation to respective internal departments and/or external agencies, such as local law enforcement and FBI. - Support corporate and department emergency response as appropriate. - Maintain and update databases for security assessments, investigations, incidents, and threat information reporting. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Analytics, Security Administration, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or closely related field of study PLUS four years or more related work experience* OR - Associates Degree in Intelligence Analytics, Security Administration, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or closely related field of study PLUS six years or more related work experience* OR -High School diploma or equivalent PLUS eight years or more related work experience* *Related work should include experience in the intelligence and/or threat information community, working with governmental classified material, information, briefings, classification levels, and/or equivalent. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: -Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license. T-his position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN. -Must have proficient working knowledge of office software (word processing, spreadsheet, database, email), information sharing portals, and security management systems, -Requires effective and consistent communication skills. - This role will be required to obtain and maintain a Department Homeland Security Sponsored Secret level security clearance. - Incumbent must be able to conduct long hours driving, walking, and climbing on and around ALLETE assets and surrounding terrain. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and maintain positive working relationships. -This position is subject to hearing, vision, and color perception assessment. -This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
