Essentia Health Nurse Manager - Endoscopy in Duluth, Minnesota

Job Description:

Oversee departmental operations of Duluth Clinic First Street Endoscopy Center which includes: 1) Daily oversight of 8-room suite with gastroenterology, general surgery, bariatric surgery, pediatric gastroenterology and other specialists performing endoscopy procedures. 2) Leadership, education and support for team of 40+ direct reports including Endoscopy Registered Nurses, Endoscopy Technicians, and any other staff who support procedures performed in the space. 3) Ensuring safe, quality patient care delivery in accordance with established policy/procedures, and regulatory requirements. 4) Developing and managing fiscal capital, operational budget, and monthly departmental budgets. 5) Managing departmental staff scheduling and payroll. 6) Evaluating staff performance and competency with appropriate coaching and/or discipline. 7) Developing and monitoring quality improvement initiatives and risk assessments. 8) Overseeing departmental supply management, budget, stock, and annual physical inventory reconciliation. 9) Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members including Facilities, Quality, Infection Prevention, Emergency Preparedness, Pharmacy. 10) Completing assigned operational and financial reports including volume, staff productivity, forecasting and departmental performance against plan.

Education Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing is required. If candidate holds an ADN, a BSN degree is required within 3 years

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' RN experience with proven leadership experience

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

  • Nursing license in appropriate state of employment

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required or ability to obtain within 1 month
