Float Direct Support Professional (DSP) Job Overview: What s a day like as a Float? A typical day is working with people on skills such as; cooking, cleaning, running errands, hiking, shopping, and enjoying the Duluth scenery! Being a Float DSP is rewarding and exciting. A Float DSP will work at a variety of homes throughout the week. We reimburse for mileage, expenses, and activities! The Ideal Candidate: The ideal Floater DSP candidate has at least one year of full-time work experience as a DSP, PCA or CNA. Also, the ideal candidate has a passion for supporting others; in addition to a willingness to maintain a flexible schedule of availability; days, evenings, weekends, etc. (not including overnights). The ideal Floater DSP candidate also has use of a reliable, insured vehicle and valid driver s license. The Float DSP is comfortable with supporting individuals with all levels of need. Float Direct Support Professional (DSP) Job Description: Float Direct Service Professionals will maintain a flexible schedule, enjoy supporting people, provide compassionate caregiving, and is a self-starter that loves to get out into the community. DSP Floats will receive a weekly schedule, and work at a variety of homes in the community. They may also be asked to be on call periodically for the weekend. Position involves assistance with independent living skills in the home and out in the community, personal and medical cares, lifting and transferring, various recreational activities, and some weekends.
