Center for Alcohol & Drug Treatment Billing Associate (Aging) in Duluth, Minnesota

Summary The Billing Associate (Aging) will be Responsible for CADT's aged claims. The majority of these services are billed electronically but there is also some manual billing. This individual is responsible for the review of claim rejections, along with claim denials related to billing and non-billing issues. In addition, working aged receivables for various funders and insurances. This individual will also work aging items on unpaid services. The Billing Associate (Aging) will work with Billing Manager on addressing aging claims. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Learn Procentive and Methasoft E.H.R. billing if not already known. Work claim rejections and claim denials related to billing and non-billing issues. Monitor Accounts Receivable balances and work aged claims. Assist in change of funding. Miscellaneous projects as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in business, finance, or accounting is preferred. Must have 1 year of experience reviewing denied claims & resolving claim issues with insurance companies. Must be able to complete tasks with 100% accuracy. Preferred to have 1 year of Billing experience. Effectively manage a changing environment. Excellent customer service skills as will interact with other staff and vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word computer programs is a must. Must pass background studies issued by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
