NDCP Vice President, Finance in Duluth, Georgia

Overview

Oversees the Company’s financial reporting function, including the oversight of NDCP’s financial reporting and data analytics team, as well as establishing and maintaining the organization’s principles, practices, and procedures related to financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 4 Team members identifying bench of succession and have a robust pipeline of talented members.

  • Manage NDCP’s financial planning and analysis cycle and the reporting through a team of managers.

  • Analyze business financial information to provide insights and articulate business recommendations to drive and improve business performance. Lead the end-to-end budget cycle with a collective an inclusive planning approach involving all functions in the business. Responsible to develop the strategic planning and long-range planning processes.

  • Collect and analyze external market data to provide benchmarks for comparison purposes, and suggest areas for improving operations via data analysis.

  • Present financial reporting to Company management in decision making and strategic planning.

  • Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects required by senior management

  • Support the definition of policies and procedures for the broader company and maintain them current for the FP&A area. Establish, document, and implement financial reporting policies and practices for the Company.

  • Oversees the Pricing function and pricing definition and execution in our systems in partnership with the Sourcing function.

  • Provide ongoing financial analysis support to the organization’s Sourcing team.

  • Other accounting-related projects and duties, as assigned, by the CFO.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • BS in business administration or accounting or equivalent required, MBA desirable.

  • 7+ years progressively responsible financial / accounting experience with reporting and data analytics experience.

  • Experience with SAP finance modules, as well as warehouse management / purchase requisition systems strongly desired.

  • Experience in a financial analysis role within the food service / distribution industry strongly desired.

  • Develop, rationalize, lead, manage, articulate, and execute standardized financial reporting analytics and strategies.

  • Strong attention to detail and clear understanding of financial measurements and business metrics and how to leverage these measures to impact overall business results.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop efficient planning and project management methodologies and effective utilization of resources to achieve high value results.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities and remain agile based on changing needs of the business.

  • Highest professional ethics and integrity required.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across the organization and to build positive working relationships to effectively accomplish assigned responsibilities.

  • Ability to make difficult decisions in a timely manner and exhibit sound and accurate judgment.

  • Strong sense of urgency and high level of accountability to drive organizational results.
