About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Service Supervisor to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role supervises and coordinates warranty management, technical support, parts and service sales activities.

Plans and implements actions to grow revenue through Parts and Field Services Sales. This role serves as liaison between outside repair shop network, customers and factories by performing the following duties

personally or through subordinate employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Has direct responsibility for all assigned team members.

  • Keeps the Service Manager informed on performance, operations, and team status.

  • Establishes short- and medium-term goals and budget projections for the Energy and Field Services Team.

  • Keeps policies and procedures for the team updated and in line with the guidelines provided by the parent company in Brazil.

  • Establishes and supports relationships with outside repair shops for the product lines marketed by WEG. This includes evaluation, selection, accreditation and training of these shops.

  • Drives improvements by recommending measures to review processes, the performance of the team, the response time and the overall quality of service.

  • Keeps and promotes good communication with customers, peers and team members..

  • Provides technical support to team and customers.

  • Supervises warranty and technical support, including warranty claim processing, cost estimates, repair authorization and warranty reporting to WEG factories.

  • Leads by example, being the reference for the team members on both the technical and administrative aspects.

  • Participates in special projects, focused on department-level improvements.

  • Answers escalated customer questions concerning technical topics and all after-sale issues.

  • Recommends measures to improve warranty methods, performance, and quality of service.

  • Regularly mentors junior team members and coordinates training of new hires.

  • Promotes and monitors the development of the team members and himself by establishing and coordinating a training plan.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization-s policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance.

  • Develops and implement action plan to increase revenue from Sales and Field Service.

  • Drives actions with the Sales Team in order to promote the sales or Services and Spare parts.

  • Establishes communication channels with OEM`s and End users to increase the sales of Service and Parts.

  • Monitors monthly revenue from Services and Parts.

  • Negotiates open billings and payments with customer and suppliers.

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor-s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge / training:

  • Strong knowledge of electric machines, construction and operation.

  • Strong understanding of industrial applications for motors and generators.

  • Reading schematics and mechanical drawings.

  • Basic Vibration analysis.

  • Using of diagnostic tools and equipment.

  • People management.

  • Intermediate level of MSOffice, required.

  • Negotiation.

  • Strategic Planning.

Experience:

  • 7 years related experience.
