We specialize in enabling complex communication networks that are critical to the operations of the Department of Defense, Civilian Government, and commercial markets. **[Summary [DataPath, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer. This position will be part of the Operations Engineering Team, responsible for technical support during the assembly, test, and acceptance processes in the manufacture of DataPath products. This includes responsibility for supporting coordination of test system development, test procedure creation, and validation during the new product introduction cycle. This also includes hands on experience with analog and digital circuits, for the purposes of test and troubleshooting. The main goal of this position is to ensure that the development, build, validation, and ongoing support of production test equipment is accomplished in a controlled, predictable manner.

  • Maintains cognizance and control over Engineering support costs to Mfg.
  • Provides technical interpretation of drawings and specifications of moderately difficult products.
  • Works with Design Engineers to analyze and resolve design tolerance problems. Coordinates design changes or improvements with Design Engineering.
  • Evaluate, select and recommend capital test equipment when appropriate using sound cost/payback analysis.
  • Document testing and test results through written reports and customer presentations.
  • Develops, implements and maintains test methods and processes in the manufacture and test of sub-assembly, module, and top level product for moderately difficult product lines.
  • Determines proper test flows and sequencing for the efficient flow of assigned products.
  • Provides basic technical assistance and training support to floor test technicians.
  • Maintains test documentation in current configuration and oversees accurate change management procedures for test documents for assigned products.
  • Analyzes established manufacturing test processes for cost reduction opportunities.
  • Provides technical assistance, direction and support to sub-assembly and top-level testing.

  • Associate Degree from an accredited institution in Electronics or Satellite Communications, or 7 years relevant work experience
  • US Citizenship
  • Proficient at testing and troubleshooting RF, analog, power, digital circuits
  • Experience with Ka, Ku, X-band systems
