Description

Dynalectric is currently seeking highly motivated individuals who would like to become Junior Estimators. The successful candidates will become part of a production driven team, performing electrical estimations and bid proposals with a focus on Industrial, Commercial, Institutions and residential projects. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to join our dynamic team.

Job Title: Assistant Estimator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Estimating Department with all aspects of estimating.

  • Ability to learn how read & understand drawings & specifications.

  • Determine responsibility of a scope of work per drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to learn how to conduct online takeoffs to be submitted to electrical and alike vendors.

  • Request quotes from vendors for materials.

  • Verify vendor’s bill of material.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with clients, contractors and vendors.

  • Ability to learn and understand the NEC National Electric Codes - educating yourself on updating of electrical codes and products on the market.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Field electrical experience.

  • Must be a motivated individual, trustworthy and have excellent work habits.

  • Trade/High School Education

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, and various computer skills.

  • Ability to learn and use Accubid Estimating software

  • A self-starter who is independently driven to succeed

  • Aptitude for math

  • Willingness to form relationships with customers

  • Analytical and tactical thinking is a requirement

  • Ability to become a team member
