ABM Industries IAD Warehouse Agent Morning Shift in Dulles International Airp, District Of Columbia

Overview

The Warehouse Clerk also known as Provisioning Agents is responsible for performing general warehouse duties. Provisioning Agents are responsible for receiving, distributing, and controlling the inventory required for an aircraft. Must report to the Provisioning Shift Supervisors and Operation Managers. Agents will be assigned additional duties when necessary for the needs of our business.

Pay Rate: 17.00

Shift: 06:00 - 14:30 (AM shifts)

MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ON Saturday, Sunday, and three days from the weekdays. (total of 5 days). You will have two days consecutive days off between Monday and Friday.

General Responsibilities :

  • Provisioning Agents are responsible for receiving, distributing, and controlling the inventory required for an aircraft.

  • Provisioning Agents report to the Provisioning Shift Supervisors and Operation Managers.

  • Provisioning Agents will be assigned additional duties when necessary for the needs of our business.

  • Perform facility janitorial and maintenance duties (change light bulbs, remove trash, communicate work orders, etc.)

  • Perform shipping and receiving duties

  • Document incoming and outgoing items

  • Keep a tidy and organized work area

  • Maintain stock of shop supplies

  • Load and unload materials to and from designated storage areas

  • Verify documented counts against physical counts of stock

  • Receive and fill orders or prepare supplies

Specific Duties/Essential Job Functions : (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Employees are responsible for preparing the supplies for an aircraft.

  • Employees are responsible for recognizing, unloading, sorting, and counting for the supplies that come off the aircraft and back from the laundry.

  • Employees are responsible for the new supplies that are received and housed at the processing center.

  • Employees are responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse and its workstation.

  • Employees are responsible for working their assigned schedules.

Physical Demands:

  • An individual may be required to be able to stand and walk for the entire length of their work shift.

  • Individuals must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Individuals are required to meet basic physical requirements. Bending, Hearing, Speaking, Crawling, Handling, Feeling and more may be required.

Work Environment:

  • The work environment has a moderate to high noise level.

  • The employee needs to be prepared for the weather.

  • The employee needs to be prepared for large variances in temperature and humidity.

  • The Employee needs to be prepared for an open-air environment that could include fumes, insects, birds, and other possibilities.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and written instructions.

  • Ability to present information, and respond to questions from Processing Agent Supervisors, Management, and Clients.

  • Ability to write documents such as routine reports and informative e-mails.

Math Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to count and weigh inventory and provide accurate data for reports.

Reasoning Ability :

  • Ability to use common sense to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.

  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.

  • Ability to adapt and respond to difficulties in an appropriate manner.

Basic Qualifications:
