ABM Industries IAD Inventory Controller in Dulles International Airp, District Of Columbia

Overview

Inventory controller must be able to verify product quality and count while handling inventory. Operator is responsible for scanning materials for security check and operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking and counting inventory. The Operator may also be required to perform Build List, materials management or packer duties. Ability to read and comprehend the use of handheld device, RF Scanner, to pick order tickets, process orders by locating items in the warehouse, completing orders which require paperwork and lastly staging them in the shipping area to prepare for pickups. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, must be comfortable with physical demands while working safely yet efficiently by pushing, pulling, lifting to 50lbs. Stand on your feet for 8 hours or more.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively through English language

  • Must submit to and pass a drug screening.

  • Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge, and Customs Seal (if applicable), including successful completion of a background check and ten-year work history.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous aviation, aircraft appearance or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

Operate equipment safely and behave in compliance with company policy and Provisioning Center management expectations

  • Complete daily safety and MHE inspections

  • Satisfy employee productivity and inventory accuracy goals with respect to unloading and put-away of inbound material, handling customer materials and supporting inventory management activities

  • Count, weigh, and otherwise determine the actual quantity of inventory being handled

  • Provide timely and accurate communication to site management

  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks to standard

  • Maintain required record and reports ensuring inventory control, accuracy and security are maintained

Language Skills:

Grooming:

  • Must always wear appropriate uniform and badge/ID.

  • Employee must comply with guidelines set in the ABM Aviation Standards of Employment.
