Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Operations House Crew Member at the Five Flags Center in Dubuque, Iowa . Under direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Part Time Operations House Crew team member's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with ASM policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events (setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, other furnishings, and equipment).

  • Perform housekeeping tasks not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, rest room cleaning, trash removal, carpet extraction, and glass cleaning

  • Uses equipment as required upon completion of training in a safe manner and as directed by operational standards.

  • Monitor all supplies and notify supervisor of needs

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.

  • Responsible for proper storage of supplies and equipment.

  • Report any unsafe conditions or safety hazards to supervisor immediately.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Department staff.

Must be able to pass a background check and meet corporate minimum requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Good communication skills;

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Teamwork oriented -- cooperative attitude is a must

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

  • Be able to easily adjust to changing priorities

  • Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis

  • Knowledge of various floor-cleaning equipment helpful

  • Mechanical aptitude helpful.

    Education and/or Experience

  • H igh school diploma/GED preferred

    Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and overlapping deadlines.

  • Work long and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed

  • The working hours are scheduled based on the needs the facility.

  • PART-TIME ON-CALL scheduling .

  • There is no guarantee of hours on a weekly basis.
