The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical program manager to deliver Data Center Network across multiple AWS clusters in EMEA and drive process development and automation . You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity and automate shared processes. You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability. You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.

Key job responsibilities

  • Monitor the network health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate.

  • Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management) to define requirements and processes.

  • Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/Datacenter technicians/Supply Chain) to ensure on-time delivery of critical datacenter capacity.

  • Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade-offs needed.

  • Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.

  • End to end responsibility for the program’s execution and success.

  • Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.

  • Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions.

  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.

  • Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.

About the team

Brick and Network Deployment team ensures data center network and port capacity is available for incoming customer racks (demand). Customer racks (also known as server racks) need this capacity (networking racks) to gain access to the AWS network to provide service capacity for AWS customers. TIPMs are responsible for coordinating with the Build’s Infra TIPMs, IDND, Optical NW team, and Supply Chain to ensure datacenter capacity in time.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a discipline that requires problem-solving, typically Data Center or Network Technologies, Engineering, Physics, Finance, Business or equivalent professional experience

  • 3+ years of experience managing projects in a Data Center or Networking environment

  • 3+ years of Supply Chain Management experience, e.g., forecasting, planning, scheduling

  • 3+ years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced forecast modeling techniques including safety stock optimization and sensitivity analysis

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau)

  • Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of Excel (look-ups &pivot tables)

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
