Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Dublin, Ireland

Azure has experienced explosive growth for years now and shows no signs of slowing. Customers are migrating traditional server-based infrastructure to the cloud in droves as they enter the world of managed Kubernetes and containers. As with traditional servers, containers need networks to do just about anything useful and the Azure Container Networking (ACN) team is responsible for innovating, building, and evolving the entire containerized networking platform for Azure worldwide.

The ACN team is looking for an experienced, technically oriented Senior Product Manager to help define our long-term container networking strategy and to innovate across net-new features as well as drive improvements in performance and scale.

This opportunity will allow the right candidate to take on the responsibility for ensuring that container networking meets and exceeds the needs of Azure Kubernetes customers and internal teams alike. The role requires a blend of product innovation, strategic thinking, cross-team collaboration, and external customer engagement. The opportunity also provides the flexibility to work from home or from the office or a mixture of both if preferred.

Responsibilities

  • You will drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for multiple feature areas.

  • You will help shape vision, strategy, and execution plans for container networking.

  • You will drive key partnerships and cross-functional relationships with engineering, partner teams, and both first- and third-party customers to help establish strategy, technical vision, and product roadmap.

  • You will bring key stakeholders and collaborators together driving consensus & engineering timelines.

  • You will engage with customers directly and indirectly in formal and informal scenarios to gain a deep understanding of their needs.

  • You will help envision & design new capabilities that delight customers and exceed their requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience in product/service/project/program management or software development or equivalent experience.

  • Technical, hands-on experience with Kubernetes/AKS, computer networking, and general cloud technologies.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and experience in product/service/project/program management or software development or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in management of complex cross-group, cross-disciplinary software engineering.

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies.
