LinkedIn is looking for a Senior Manager to lead our Deal Desk team for LSS (LinkedIn Sales Solutions), a high-performing, scale-focused operations team critical to driving efficient and effective deal strategy and closure. This person will be responsible for the core operations and talent management of the team and managing Sales and other cross-functional stakeholders. This role will help transform the Deal Desk role to empower Deal Desk as the true “hub of the wheel” to pursue growth opportunities and drive accountability. The role requires strong leadership & communication skills, depth of business experience backed by both intuition & data, and a deep understanding of operational processes & performance management.

About the Team

The Deal Desk team sits in the Central Operations organization within GTM Operations, and has 250 people (160 FTEs and 85 vendors). The team is a critical partner to sales for driving the deal process from quote to closure working closely with Pricing, Sales Operations, Finance, etc. The LSS Deal Desk team is 25 FTEs and 20 vendors across the globe.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, train and inspire our Deal Desk team that supports the LSS EMEA and Latin America organization. Successfully manage this team in an ever changing, fast-paced environment through coaching, mentoring and career development 

  • Own and drive the day-to-day operations (deal structuring, approvals, and order management) of LSS Deal Desk, to enable faster and more accurate deal operations, while balancing a scaled use of resources. This may include managing vendor resources that provide services for LinkedIn

  • Identify growth opportunities that contribute to LinkedIn’s top line growth, and run initiatives to upsell and cross sell.

  • Collaborate and work with global Deal Desk leaders to deliver consistent and exceptional partnership to our Sales organization. Engage with the Sales organization on a regular basis, and credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior Sales leadership.

  • Provide deal strategy & structuring support to Sales and work directly with customers on surfacing incentives/offers if needed

  • Engage with cross-functional partners such as Sales Operations, Pricing, Revenue, and Systems to ensure operational performance and activities are aligned to the strategic priorities of the business. 

  • Identify opportunities for operational model improvements, process efficiencies and technology solutions to address Customer, Sales and Deal Desk employee pain points. Help build business cases to make Deal Desk and our pre-sales ecosystem more efficient

  • Identify, implement and manage Key Performance Indicators to drive the focus of the team to maximize customer value and business growth.

  • Define clear career paths and establish performance standards within the Deal Desk team to foster professional growth and ensure consistent performance.

  • Advocate for the Deal Desk team and help build and improve the brand of the team. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of SaaS or B2B industry experience in Deal Desk/Quote to Cash/ Sales Operations/Pricing/Consulting.

  • 4+ years of people management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and manage diverse teams across various geographical locations.    

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Natural problem-solver: comfortable with data and ambiguity; able to both delve into the details and operational tactics and engage meaningfully on the big picture or overall strategy.  

  • Work with multiple priorities/deals simultaneously in a fast paced environment across a diverse group of stakeholders to drive business outcomes within aligned upon deadlines

  • Proactive and passionate about results: independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations.  

  • Ability to have a strong, independent perspective to push thinking while being able to build trust based relationships to drive buy-in

  • Strong team leadership and project management skills and ability to mobilize teams towards a common goal  

  • Effective communications: excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations.  

  • Executive presence: experience working closely with senior executives to solve challenging business problems; Ability to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership.

  • Global Experience in an operations environment in a Tech (or related) company 

  • Knowledge and understanding of the SaaS landscape

  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors
