We are currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist who will be responsible for driving development of computer vision tools for cell characterization in biomanufacturing processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Development of image processing techniques to extract biological insights from microscope images of cells, including definition of training and inferencing pipelines.

  • Robust implementation of the internal image analysis toolbox with code versioning and review through SWE standard practice technologies (git, GitHub, pull requests)

  • Monitoring and maintaining inferencing pipelines deployed in the field.

  • Preparation of reports to support Quality Assurance and marketing collateral.

  • Collaborating with external developers on deployment infrastructure.

The required qualifications for the job include:

  • First degree in Computer Science with formal software engineering training

  • Postgraduate qualification in Data Science with a significant Artificial Intelligence component

  • 2 years’ experience working in computer vision and using standard libraries (Tensorflow and/or Pytorch, opencv, scikit-learn), including putting AI into Production.

  • 4 years’ software engineering experience working with Python

  • Previous experience working in an interdisciplinary environment with Biomedical or Life Sciences data and colleagues.
