The Lead Full Stack Engineer will have passion for clean code, a hunger to take on challenging and exciting projects as well as an unrelenting drive to learn and deliver. Qualified candidates will be required to demonstrate the full stack hands on knowledge for this position.

Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design. develop and maintain new features on the Emisar Analytics Gateway product

• Deliver and integrate features with the backend dependencies

• Work alongside the Product, UI/UX and Architecture teams to design new features for the product

• Collaborate with the operations team to deploy new features to production

• Operate as a key member of an Agile Full Stack engineering team

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback

• Guide and mentor the Full Stack Engineers in the team when required

• Implement best practies for software development including testing, documentation and version control

• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues and provide timely resolution to technical challenges

• Stay current with emerging trends in full stack development and evaluate their impact on our products

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve code quality, development practices and processes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience

• Strong software product development experience working on commercially available software products

• Experience with REST/ JSON APIs, Java, Spring, and SpringBoot, Microservices, No-SQL Data Stores, Docker, Containers

• Practical experience of delivering high quality production software using Java/Typescript/Javascript & SQL

• Experience in using modern software engineering and product development processes including Agile / Scrum,

• Experience of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery using tools like Jenkins/Github Actions.

• Practical experience of deploying infrastructure and applications as code using Terraform

• Experience with building web application on NodeJS.

• Working Knowledge on public clouds like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud and developing applications on Linux environments

• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in API management platforms and API related activities: requirement analysis, software architecture and design, resource -based API modeling, and micro-services architecture

• Proven track record of acting as an advocate for driving new technology across the organization via the creation of communities and publishing SDK / libraries for reuse across the organization

• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members

• Strong problem solving skills with attention to detail.

• Strong experience of operating in a quickly changing environment and driving technological innovation to meet business requirements

Preferred Qualification:

• Practical experience of deploying infrastructure and applications using Terraform

• Practical experience of developing solutions hosted within one of the major cloud providers (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud)

• Prior experience in lead/senior software engineer role

• Hands on experience of securing web applications.

• Good understanding of Microservices architecture

• Experience in the healthcare industry

• Excellent time management, communication, decision making, and presentation skills

• Display a strong desire to achieve and attain high levels of both internal and external customer satisfaction
