Aggreko Electrical Service Engineer (Generator Engineer) in Dublin, Ireland

We’re looking for an Electrical Service Engineer (Generator Engineer) based out the Dublin 11 area.

    What you’ll do:

  • Carry out major electrical equipment maintenance as per work instruction on Aggreko equipment including systematic fault finding and repairs on electrical and control equipment and high voltage Aggreko equipment maintenance.

  • Responsible for procedural based failure reporting using paper and electronic systems.

  • To complete and maintain paper and electronic records as per site specifics

  • Operate the Aggreko service mobility system and diagnose Aggreko generator controllers

  • Issue AC electrical ‘permit to work’.

  • Responsible for switching on LV and HV Aggreko equipment

  • Assisting with the installation and demobilisation of Aggreko equipment.

  • Aggreko places a strong emphasis on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental protection. It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable for compliance to the Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and local legislation, and ensure completion and validity of all minimum QHSE training and objectives required by the company

    You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified / Part-Qualified electrician

  • Electrical served apprenticeship or alternatively, a City & Guilds/ONC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering

  • Possess a letter of authorisation to relevant voltage requirement in accordance with Energy Safety Rules

  • Experience of gas generators in addition to a strong knowledge of gas systems with a solid background in Gas equipment process and control systems

  • Must successfully complete ALL assessments in compliance with Gen Tech Electrical requirements

  • The ability to use specialist tools and ensuring all tooling is calibrated in accordance with Aggreko standards and local legislation

  • Ability to work autonomously when required with the ability to coach and mentor

    Salary ranging from €45,000 - €50,000 depending on experience. You will benefit from an additional sign on bonus in your first year, plus annual bonus.
