Have you led large cross-functional projects to bring new business ideas to life, or increase efficiency and accuracy of existing businesses? If so, Amazon has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Manager to join our Finance and Business Integration team, focusing on India expansion.

MENA has emerged as one of the fastest growing geographies for Amazon with many exciting projects. As a Senior Program Manager, this leader will work closely with the financial systems team, accounting operations teams, tax, treasury, and others and represent the accounting organization to various stakeholders. In this role, the candidate will be part of a team that collaborates with business finance and technical teams to deliver world class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible. The projects will span across the Digital businesses. This role also provides high level visibility across business, accounting and finance.

A successful candidate in this position will have demonstrable experience with financial reporting, system and process design, project management and internal control related responsibilities. This person will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. Good oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope business requirements and prioritize.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead as an Accounting Program Manager to provide project support and assistance to Amazon's business and technology teams with the design of new products or offerings and set-up of financial systems to ensure appropriate business support and controllership

  • Responsible for consultation, oversight and implementation of cross functional projects

  • Manage and prioritize work for the assigned portfolio; work directly or indirectly with various stakeholder teams and monitor quality to ensure standards are maintained

  • Identify and communicate project risks to senior leadership, along with clear recommendations for resolution or mitigation

  • Provide leadership and technical guidance in executing large scale process implementations and improvements within new business launches and existing processes and controls; define scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders

  • Work collaboratively with the global accounting, tech, finance, tax and business teams to establish and maintain strong communication channels

  • Hire, develop talent and actively participate in Accounting recruiting effort

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules

  • Experience defining and executing program requirements

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • ACCA, CA, CPA equivalent professional qualification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree

  • PMP certificate

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Technical Accounting Knowledge
