Encore Senior Technician - Lighting in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Main functions:

  1. Training and supervising Technicians and Crew on operation of equipment and through tasks

  2. Working as part of a team on and off site

  3. Configuring equipment at advanced levels

  4. Having an advanced understanding/knowledge of all equipment and keeping up to date with latest fixtures and technology within the industry. Learning new equipment quickly and teaching the team how to operate, hang and inspect them properly

  5. Leading by example and maintaining a consistent performance at all times

  6. Interacting directly with clients on site in a customer-oriented manner

  7. Running shows of all sizes, both operation and site management, and leading a team of Technicians and Crew on site

  8. Running a project and team at department level in the absence of a Project Manager

  9. Assisting Project Managers in planning for projects and the specification of equipment

  10. Providing a good level of support to the HOD

  11. Notifying Head of Department of all defect fixtures

  12. Cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping and repairing equipment prior to job

  13. Monitoring and repairing equipment during shows and any required fault finding

  14. Identifying and correcting equipment failures according to set standards

  15. Performing repairs up to and including high-end equipment depending on severity of issue

  16. Building and installing equipment on site unsupervised, according to designated layout

  17. Setting up and operating systems/equipment

  18. Loading and unloading of equipment

  19. Cleaning of equipment after shows and storing properly

  20. Rigging and de-rigging of all equipment safely

  21. Performing annual inventory of eclipse equipment as per the set procedures in place

  22. Adhering to health and safety regulations and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment

  23. Reporting all health and safety issues to the Group HSE Manager

  24. Respecting and adhering to company policies, rules and procedures

  25. Miscellaneous tasks within your scope of work, as assigned by the direct supervisor
