InterContinentalDubai Marina , one of the Five Star luxury

properties in the center of one of Dubai's most vibrant and energetic neighborhoods

with 328 rooms, flexible event space, full service Spa, and six international

restaurant and bars, is looking to recruit a Jr. Sous Chef to join one of its restaurant – Marina Social by Jason Atherton .

The acclaimed Michelin-starred

British chef Jason Atherton, who is Gordon Ramsay’s former protégé, has since

gone on to reach the same level as his master internationally and has launched

his own restaurant group, The Social Company.

In September 2015, Jason

opened Marina Social. It’s his first ‘Social’ restaurant in Dubai and is a

stunning waterside restaurant. It has an open kitchen serving a

British-Mediterranean inspired menu of tapas-style dishes and an open dessert

bar that allows guests to watch and interact with the chefs during their dining

experience.

Qualifications

The challenging role of Junior Sous Chef should be able to

demonstrate at least 2 years’ experience within F&B operations in a modern vibe

British-Mediterranean restaurant with a proven track record in working

on your way up to your current position.

It

is also essential that you have excellent technical culinary skills as

well as a good command of the English language (verbal and written). You

will also have an experience of working in a multicultural environment.

The position has responsibilities and

essential job functions including but are not limited to ensure the consistency

in the preparation of all food items for a la carte menus according to restaurant

recipes and standards; ensure all kitchen colleagues are aware of standards

& expectations; liaise daily with Head Chef & Restaurant GM to keep

open lines of communication regarding guest feedback; maintain and enhance the

food products through creative menu development and presentation; and have full

knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions.

Ideally, to successfully fill

this role, you should have notable skills & experience in international

cuisine, Italian & Mediterranean cuisines; ability to work well under

pressure in a fast paced environment, work cohesively with fellow colleagues as

part of a multi-national team.
