Responsibilities

The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. Our unique balance of academic rigor and a continuum of evidence based educational/therapeutic supports make LifeWorks the regional provider of choice. LifeWorks School is currently looking for a full time Science Teacher to support our LifeWorks School in Doylestown, PA. This hours for this position are 8:00 am to 4:00pm. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide academic instruction to differential learners in the LifeWorks School setting.

  • Monitor student academic achievement through grades, observation and other quantitative methods.

  • Monitor student’s IEP (if applicable) and address goals and objectives.

  • Manages classroom behavior through level system, S.M.A.R.T. Program and Classroom Discipline Plan.

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s level degree in Education, with current content area teaching certification required. Experience/certification in Special Education is preferred. Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting is highly desirable.
