Tru North is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a technician with an amazing personality who is willing to join a great culture! Bonus structure is uncapped, and a strong technician can expect to exceed $100,000 in gross yearly pay!!!

DUTIES INCLUDE (NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Accurately diagnose and efficiently accomplish jobs.
  • Perform routine HVAC service repairs and maintenances.
  • Work directly with the warehouse to ensure the parts for your repairs have been ordered.
  • Work directly with the warehouse if part assistance is needed on a job.
  • Work on different types of equipment such as boilers, central a/c, ductless systems, high efficiency, commercial, and oil heaters.
  • Establish customer rapport and offer the right products and services that fit their needs.
  • Take your time with customers to ensure you've answered all their questions.
  • Leave highly detailed notes for our customers when wrapping up jobs, in addition to detailed internal notes that will be seen by the office.
  • Remain up to date on company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize a strong understanding of HVAC functions and ductwork modifications.
  • Use strong logic skills in order to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work.
  • Be comfortable with reaching out for help if you run into a snag.
  • Assist other technicians on large jobs when necessary.
  • Work with the warehouse on keeping your truck stocked and cleaned regularly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in HVAC
  • Familiarity with HVAC wiring, repair, maintenance, and installations
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to travel in a company-provided truck (gas card provided)
  • Ability to volunteer for nights and weekends on occasion
  • Must have strong people skills and be able to recommend any additional services that may be needed
  • Must be able to navigate company email and software (assistance provided)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Extensive standing, walking, pushing, and reaching.

  • Need full range of motion for reaching, bending, and stooping.

  • Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs.

  • Lifting of heavy equipment of up to 50 pounds.

  • May work outside and be exposed to weather.

  • Exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
