Comcast Cable Communications, LLC Engineer 3, Quality Assurance in Downingtown, Pennsylvania

Validate software solutions in various testing environments using Python and Roku Brightscripting; develop test strategies and design quality assurance practices; collaborate with other Engineers to identify, reproduce and document defects, bugs, or problems using Witbe and API Scripting; maintain technical quality assurance, control systems, and activities; perform CI/CD using Concourse and Jenkins; utilize clearly defined standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products; assist product support areas in gathering and analyzing data; write and execute tests to validate products and software applications; contribute to the development of Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies; identify viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality; collaborate with product and development teams to identify product and technical requirements; review and verify requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with an emphasis towards product testability and verification;  ensure proper execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts; participate in design, code and functional product reviews; and work with other Quality Assurance Engineers or Software Engineers to identify, reproduce and document bugs or defects.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience validating software solutions using Python and Roku Brightscripting; of which one (1) year includes identifying, reproducing and documenting defects using Witbe and API Scripting; and performing CI/CD using Concourse and Jenkins.*
