Outpatient Therapist - Adult Population

Dover Behavioral Health System has an exciting position within our Outpatient Social Services Department. We invite applications for the position of a Outpatient Therapist to join the Universal Health Services, Inc. family. The successful candidate will provide clinical services to our outpatient adult patients for Dover Behavioral Health System located in Dover, DE.

What do our outpatient Therapist do?

  • Conduct risk assessments, and psychosocial assessments to document patient history and identify preliminary issues for treatment

  • Assist patients to meet their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social

  • Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans, ensuring that concise, realistic care plans are carried out.

  • Provide individual, group and family process-oriented therapies as well as conduct other didactic groups using various professional treatment modalities.

  • Act as the patients' and families' primary contact during the patient's stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team.

  • Develop and coordinate an individualized discharge plan for the patients, communicate with referral sources and identify and assess family or community resources such as group homes, or mental health practitioners to meet the patient’s aftercare needs.

    Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Social Work or related field is required

  • LMSW, LCSW, or other licensures are also great to have

  • A minimum of one year experience with direct experience in family and or group therapies, crisis intervention, treatment and clinical assessments

  • Experience working in an outpatient setting preferred

  • Self Driven and able to meet deadlines is a must
