Responsibilities

JOB STATEMENT:

Seams segments of steel together to create the required length of door curtain according to production order. As part of a team place final finishes and prepare overhead steel door to be rolled up for shipping

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reviews reports to determine production needs.

  • Places pre-cut segments of door curtain on machine to seam pieces together.

  • Seams needed amount of segments to create size needed for order.

  • Verifies size of door curtain with tape measure for quality control.

  • Attach brackets to end of door after door is rolled.

  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.

  • Unload items from machines and place on assembly stands.

  • Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • manual lifting up to 50lbs

  • standing for 8 hours at one time

  • working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week

  • working weekends
