What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for driving the forecasting process and developing the demand plan as a critical output of the SSB Sales & Operations Planning process.

  • Responsible for improving forecast accuracy to increase predictability and resiliency to deliver on promises to SSB’s customers Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and continuously improve product forecast at the weekly, dealer, plant, SKU level by utilizing advanced planning system (once implemented).

  • Responsible for analyzing historical trends, conducting history cleansing, and utilizing statistical models to determine baseline forecast. Lead monthly cross-functional forecasting meetings for top dealers.

  • Responsible for bringing baseline forecast recommendations to forecasting meeting and gathering input from crossfunctional partners that builds upon the baseline forecast (insights including promotions, new product introductions and discontinuations, distribution changes, etc.). Keep detailed record of forecast assumptions.

  • Review forecast assumptions with team and adjust them as business changes occur each cycle.

  • Ensure the forecast is accurately updated when forecast assumptions change.

  • Keep detailed record of forecast changes that occur since the previous cycle.

  • Keep detailed record of action items needed after forecasting meeting and hold team members accountable for completing them in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that demand plan aligns to financial plan, and conduct gap analysis to understand plan deviations.

  • Accurately articulate forecast assumptions and changes to supply planning counterparts (and other business partners, as needed) to enable them to adjust capacity and production plans as needed.

  • Accountable for reporting on metrics for forecast accuracy for monthly goal deployment and develops corrective plans and continuous improvement of forecast accuracy.

  • Participate in the annual budget development process. Support the implementation of the advanced planning system as needed.

  • Strong knowledge of forecasting, probability & statistics.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience utilizing advanced planning system preferred. Understanding of new product commercialization and discontinuation processes.

  • Capability to quickly synthesize data and make recommendations when data is ambiguous.

  • Must have at least a Master’s degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management or related Supply Chain field and 24 months of experience in a Supply Chain Management role or similar position.

  • Must have completed graduate level coursework in Supply Chains & Global Operations, Statistical Analysis for Managers, and Supply Chain: Design, Modeling and Optimization.
