Description

Robert Half has partnered a leading logistics company in their search for a senior accountant. This role is 100% on-site in the Doral area.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage the financial activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for full-cycle month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliation, audit preparation, and inventory accounting. Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full-cycle month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to support management decision-making.

  • Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Assist in the preparation for external audits by providing documentation, schedules, and supporting materials as needed.

  • Manage inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and analysis of inventory-related transactions.

  • Utilize SAP and advanced Excel functions to extract, analyze, and interpret financial data for reporting and decision-making purposes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes, enhance controls, and drive operational efficiencies.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on full-cycle month-end close and financial reporting.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.

  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems required.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, and macros.

  • Experience in inventory accounting and familiarity with inventory management systems preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
